She is often referred to as the 'queen of crime'. In addition to her detective novels, she also wrote sentimental novels under the pseudonym Mary Westmacott.
Agatha Christie is a renowned detective writer and one of the best-selling authors of all time, second only to William Shakespeare. Her books have sold over two billion copies in English and another billion in translations across more than three hundred languages.
